Requirement for one JRF in Thalassemia project at NIRRH, Mumbai

The institute had a humble beginning in 1954 in the form of a Contraceptive Testing Unit. Over the years, the Institute has made significant strides to develop newer contraceptives, both for the male and the female; generate information on the safety, efficacy and acceptability of available contraceptives in Indian population; and elucidate basic mechanisms underlying reproductive physiology. 

Applications are invited through Walk-in-Interview on 27-10-2014 between 09:00 hrs. and 12:00 hrs. for the following vacancy  under Non-Institutional ad-hoc project.

• Title of project : EPIDEMIOLOGY AND BIOLOGY OF ALPHA THALASSEMIA IN WESTERN MAHARASHTRA, INDIA.
• Position : JRF
• No of Post : One
• Stipend : Rs. 16,000/- + 30% HRA OR Rs. 12,000/- + 30% HRA

• Desired Profile : First Class M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Zoology from recognized university and NET/ DBTJRF/ICMR JRF/qualified. or Post graduate degree in basic sciences with or without NET qualified for lectureship.
• Age : Not exceeding 28 Years
• Duration : 3 years
