Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) was established at Ludhiana by an act of the Punjab Legislature No. 16 of 2005 notified in the Punjab Government Gazette on August 9, 2005 and it started functioning w.e.f. April 21, 2006 for promoting livestock production, health and prevention of the disease(s) through integrated teaching, research and extension programme(s).
Application is invited for one temporary post of Senior Research Fellow/Research Associate in the research project entitled, "RKVY-6 DR (I) Evaluation of Different Diagnostic Tests for the Development of Suitable Strategy in Diagnosis of Mycobacterial Infections (Bovine Tuberculosis and Johne's Disease in Cattle and Buffaloes in Different Agro-climatic Zones of Punjab" at the following emoluments and qualifications

- No of Post : 1
- Emoluments : SRF Rs. 18,000 pm for first year and second year and Rs. 20,000/- for the third year (for Post Graduate in veterinary Science) and Rs. 16,000 pm (for first and second year and Rs. 18,000 for the third year for Post Graduate in subjects other than Veterinary Science. Emoluments: RA Rs. 23,000/- pm for Master Degree holder with minimum experience of two years and 24,000/- pm for Doctoral Degree holder
Desired Profile :
- B.Sc. degree in any relevant branch of Life Sciences/Biological sciences with at least second class.
- MSc and or Ph.D. degree in any branch of life Sciences / Biological sciences with specialization in Microbiology / molecular biology/ Immunology/ Animal Biotechnology / Bacteriology with at least 65% marks or an OCPA of 6.50 out of 10 or equivalent.. 3. Two Years research experience in the relevant field for Master's degree holder will be considered if Ph.D candidate is not available for the post of Research Associate
Job Responsibilities : Research work according to the objectives of the project 2. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time. Imp: Candidates with B.V.Sc and A.H. as basic qualification will be preferred. The post is purely temporary and the services of the incumbent are liable to be terminated at any time without any prior notice. The initial appointment will be for six months and will be extended subject to satisfactory work or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier. The incumbent will have no right what-so-ever for absorption in the regular university service.
