Do target specific Drug Discovery for Kala Azar & TB at NIPER

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is the first national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences with a proclaimed objective of becoming a centre of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. The Government of India has declared NIPER as an 'Institute of National Importance'. It is an autonomous body set up under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India.

Walk in Interview for the posts of JRF, SRF and Research Associate in Department of Pharmaceuticals funded research projects entitled "Target specific drug discovery against Kala Azar" and "Target specific new drug discovery of antitubercular agents" will be held, according to the details as mentioend below :

• Position : JRF
• No of Post : 4
• Fellowship : Rs 16000 for M.Sc and Rs 18000 for MS (Pahrma), M.Pharma,M.Tech
• Discipline : Biology
• Desired Profile :M.Sc in Biochemistry/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Life Sciences or M.Sc Pharma/M.Pharma/M.Tech in Biotechnology/Pharmacology and Toxicology

• Preferred : Experience in parasitology or bacteriology (for two positions). Hands on experience in Biochemistry, Protein chemistry, recombinant DNA technology or Microbiology and cell culture techniques

• Position : RA
• No of Post : 1
• Fellowship : Rs 22000/- pm
• Discipline : Biology
• Desired Profile :PhD in Biochemistry/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Life Sciences 
• Preferred : Knowledge of cell culture techniques and Biochemistry

Walk in Interview will held on Monday, 13th October 2014 at 10.00 AM till 12.00 PM in conference room of the convention centre. Candidates should bring three copies of the application giving details of educational qualifications, experience with name of the Institute, post held, scale of pay and past salary. Candidates should also bring all original certificates. Application should be accompained by demand draft for Rs 100/- (Rs50 for SC/ST/PH) in favour of "Director NIPER" drawn on any scheduled bank payable at Mohali/Chandigarh
