The National Centre for Cell Sciences, Pune (NCCS) was established as a National Repository of Animal Cell Culture with a mandate of basic research, teaching & training, and as a national repository for cell lines/ hybridomas etc. It also conducts manpower development in animal tissue culture through training programmes/workshops and extends infrastructural facilities to researchers and institutions in biochemical sciences.
NCCS invites applications from the eligible candidates pursuing M.Sc and integrated M.Sc/M.Tech degree in any branch of Life Sciences to undertake project training as a part of their dissertation work/course curriculum at this institute. Students who completed their post graduation are not eligible
Candidates may submit their typed application in the prescribed format available on NCCS website along with copies of the following documents :
- Proof of date of birth
- B.Sc final year mark sheet
- M.Sc/M.Tech previous semester marks sheet
- A certificate from the Head of the Department/Principle of College/University/Educational Institute in the prescribed format on the letter head
The completed applciation form along with all the above documents may be sent to, The Dean, Academics, National Centre for Cell Science, Pune University Campus, Pune 411007 on or before 31.10.14 by courier or post.
Heads of the department are requested to forward maximum 2 applications from their departments. Applications received without the certificate in the prescribed format given on website will not be considered for selection. NCCS will not give any stipend or Hostel accomodation and will not charge any fees for the Project training. Candidates have to undergo the project for a minimum period of 5 months during the training session (Jan-June 2015) may apply.
