Dept of Microbiology, Delhi University calls for JRF/SRF/RA post

The University of Delhi is a public central university located in Delhi, India. It is wholly funded by the Government of India. Established in 1922, it offers courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The University of Delhi is a premier institute of higher education in India. It was established in 1922 as a unitary, teaching and residential university by an Act of the Central Legislative Assembly. Five departments namely chemistry, geology, Zoology, sociology and history have been awarded the status of the Centres of Advanced Studies.

• Name of Post : Research Associate (RA)/Senior Research Fellow (SRF) /Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
• Number of Post : One (01)
• Project: Identification and characterization of Promoters of Toxin Antitoxin loci in Mycobacterium tuberculosis
• Funding Agency: Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR, Govt. of India)
• Duration of project : Three (03) years
• Emoluments : As per University Rules

Essential Qualifications :

• RA- Candidate should have PhD or equivalent degree in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Genetics/ Microbiology/ Biosciences/Biomedical Sciences or have 3 years of research experience after MTech in above subjects with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
• SRF- Candidate should have MSc/BTech or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Genetics/ Microbiology/ Biosciences/Biomedical Sciences and at least two years of post MSc/BTech research experience.  M.Tech candidates in Biotechnology with at least 60% marks may also apply with or without research experience.
• JRF- Candidate should have BSc/BTech or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Genetics/ Microbiology/ Biosciences/Biomedical Sciences having UGC/CSIR/NET or valid GATE score
