Jamia Millia Islamia derives its name from Urdu language in which Jamia means University and Millia means National.Today it has 9 faculties, 39 departments and 33 research centres with nearly 18000 students on rolls. The University has a distinction of offering education from nursery school to doctoral level.

Project Assistant Position  is available for one year in a research project funded by the Department of Science and Technology entitled, "Folding and stability of naturally truncated photosynthetic pigment, C- phycoerythrin from cyanobacterium Phormidium tenue", at Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Basic Sciences, lamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi- 110025 under' the supervision of Dr. Md. Imtaiyaz Hassan (Principal Investigator).

• Position : Project Assistant
• No of Post : one
• Stipend : Rs.10,000/pm Fixed
• Desired Profile :M.Sc. in any stream of Life Sciences with minimum 550/0 marks.
• Preferred : Candidates having experience in Molecular Spectroscopy, Protein Folding and Bioinformatics will be preferred
