The CSIR-Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology,Palampur (CSIR-IHBT) is one of the National Institute under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research which is an Autonomous Body. It is located on a 250 acres of land with the backdrop of snow-covered peaks of Dhauladhar Range in salubrious climate. The Institute is engaged in research and technology development programmes for sustainable management of bioresources of the Himalayas. The Institute has successfully carried out mission-oriented projects on tea, temperate floriculture and aromatic plants and is well equipped for Tissue culture and Biotechnology.
Walk in Interview are scheduled to be held on the dates mentioned against the positions in the respective column for selection of suitable candidates in the following areas under the different sponsored projects on purely temporary basis for the duration of the project or till completion of project whichever is earlier
- Project detail : Technology for production of ready to drink tea and tea wines (SSP-0078)
- Duration : One year
- Position : Sr Project Fellow
- No of Post : One
- Age : 32 years as on 17.09.14
- Stipend : Rs 18000/- pm
- Desired Prodile :M.ScBiochemistry with 55% marks and having two years post M.Sc research experience in wine making of local fruits and upscaled prod of RTDs
- Date of Walk in : 17.09.14
- Project detail : Technology for catechins and theaflavins production from tea leaves (SSP-0079)
- Duration : One year
- Position : Project Fellow
- No of Post : One
- Age : 28 years as on 19.09.14
- Stipend : Rs 12000/- pm
- Desired Prodile :M.ScBiochemistry with 55% marks
- Experience : Experience in upscaled separtaion and purification of biochemicals from plants
- Date of Walk in : 19.09.14
Eligible candidates may appear for Walk in Interview on the dates, time and place mentioned above alongwith an application on prescribed format which is available on the CSIR-IHBT website "www.ihbt.res.in" alongwith attested photocopies of testimonials of their age, educational qualifications, experience, received category etc at the time of interview. The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the duration of the projects. There will be no right implicit or explicit for regular position or any post in CSIR-IHBT, whatsoever. Candidates must also bring with them original certificates of testimonials at the time for interview failing which he/she will not be allowed to appear for interview.
