The Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics is an international research institute with approx. 350 employees, working in the field of medical genomics with a special focus on genome analysis and medically relevant projects.

• Description : In the Research Group of Dr. Ulf Andersson Ørom a PhD student position is available. The position is funded by the German Research Council (DFG) Special Priority Program 1738, “Emerging roles of non-coding RNAs in nervous system development, plasticity and disease”.
• Your responsibilities : The successful candidate (m/f) will join the Long Non-Coding RNA research group, currently consisting of 6 researchers. The main research topic in the laboratory is the regulation of enhancer-associated long ncRNAs and their mechanism of action. The lab uses human tissue culture, a wide array of molecular biology approaches and Bioinformatics. The project will be carried out in collaboration with the research group of Dr. Heinrich Schrewe. • Your qualifications : We are seeking a highly motivated junior scientist (m/f) with a completed diploma/master’s degree and experience with molecular biology laboratory work.
• Our offer : The position is available immediately and limited to 3 years. Salary will be according to the German public service pay scale (TVöD, Entgeltgruppe E13/2).
