PhD student position at Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics, Berlin
The Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics is an international research institute with approx. 350 employees, working in the field of medical genomics with a special focus on genome analysis and medically relevant projects.
- Description : In the Research Group of Dr. Ulf Andersson Ørom a PhD student position is available. The position is funded by the German Research Council (DFG) Special Priority Program 1738, “Emerging roles of non-coding RNAs in nervous system development, plasticity and disease”.
- Your responsibilities : The successful candidate (m/f) will join the Long Non-Coding RNA research group, currently consisting of 6 researchers. The main research topic in the laboratory is the regulation of enhancer-associated long ncRNAs and their mechanism of action. The lab uses human tissue culture, a wide array of molecular biology approaches and Bioinformatics. The project will be carried out in collaboration with the research group of Dr. Heinrich Schrewe. - Your qualifications : We are seeking a highly motivated junior scientist (m/f) with a completed diploma/master’s degree and experience with molecular biology laboratory work.
- Our offer : The position is available immediately and limited to 3 years. Salary will be according to the German public service pay scale (TVöD, Entgeltgruppe E13/2).
