Sugarcane Breeding Institute, Coimbatore, India, one of the pioneering Sugarcane breeding institutes in the world was established in 1912, with the main objective of evolving superior varieties of sugarcane suitable for various agro climatic zones in India.
It is proposed to fill up two posts of "Project Fellow" under the ERB-DST projects entitled "Molecular Cloning and characterization of Genes involved in Lignin Biosynthesis pathway of Sugarcane and whole transcriptome sequencing of sugarcane for sucrose regulating genes" at Sugarcane Breeding Institute, Coimbatore and one post of "project fellow" under the project entitled "DNA finger printing of Saccharum officinarum clones using simple sequence repeat markers" at SBI regional centre at Kannur by Walk in Interview on 11.03.14

- Desired Profile :M.Sc (Ag) specialized in Biotechnology (Plant Biotechnology/molecular biology and Biotechnology), Biochmeistry, M.ScBiotechnology/Biochemistry or M.Sc in Life Sciences course/M.Tech in Biotechnology
- Experience : Research experience in Gene cloning, cell culture,elisa and western blot analysis
- Age : 30 years for men and 35 years for women
- Remuneration : Rs 12000/- + 20% HRA
