The institute had a humble beginning in 1954 in the form of a Contraceptive Testing Unit. Over the years, the Institute has made significant strides to develop newer contraceptives, both for the male and the female; generate information on the safety, efficacy and acceptability of available contraceptives in Indian population; and elucidate basic mechanisms underlying reproductive physiology.

• Stipend : Rs. 16000/- + 30% HRA for NET Qualified OR Rs. 12,000/- + 30% HRA
• Desired Profile : First Class M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Zoology from recognized university and NET qualified OR First Class M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Zoology
• Age : Not exceeding 28 Year
• Duration : Upto to 20-03-2015
