The CRRI is one of the Institutes of the ICAR under the Division of Crop Sciences. The Institute has two research stations- Central Rainfed Upland Rice Research Station (CRURRS), Hazaribagh, in Jharkhand, and the Regional Rainfed Lowland Rice Research Station (RRLRRS), Gerua, in Assam. These research stations were established to tackle the problems of rainfed uplands, and flood prone rainfed lowlands, respectively.

- Fellowship : Rs.16,000/- p.m. + H.R.A (as admissible) for 1st & 2nd year & Rs.18,000/- p.m. + H.R.A (as admissible) from 3rd year onwards as per rule.
- Desired Profile : M.Sc in Soil Science/Microbiology/ Environmental Science/ Agronomy /Agricultural Chemistry/ Chemistry with at least 60% marks (1st Class) or equivalent grade.
- Age : 35 yrs. for men and 40 yrs. for women
- Duration : 3 years

- The above position is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the scheme/project. The services of appointed candidates will stand terminated automatically after expiry of the scheme/project or completion of period indicated in the selection offer, whichever is earlier and the candidate will not have any right for absorption in CRRI/ICAR. The above age limits are relaxable for SC, ST and OBC candidates as per Govt. of India norms.
