Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) was established at Ludhiana by an act of the Punjab Legislature No. 16 of 2005 notified in the Punjab Government Gazette on August 9, 2005 and it started functioning w.e.f. April 21, 2006 for promoting livestock production, health and prevention of the disease(s) through integrated teaching, research and extension programme(s).

- Stipend : Rs. 18,000/- p.m. (fixed) + 20% HRA for first 2 years and Rs. 20,000/- p.m (fixed) + (HRA for 3rd year for the Postgraduate in the Professional course and Rs. 16,000/- p.m. (fixed) + HRA for first 2 years and Rs. 18,000/- p.m (fixed) + HRA for 3rd year
Project title :
- Intensifying research in livestock, sairy, fishery sector on production, disease diagnosis, health care, food safety and value addition for improving rural economy and inclusive growth
- Increasing reproductive efficiency of buffaloes through application of improved breeding protocols
Desired Profile :
- B.Sc in Biotechnology / Zoology / Agriculture / B.Sc (Medical).
- M.Sc /Ph.D degree in any branch of science. Preference will be given to the candidate with experience in the field related to the project.
- Knowledge of Punjabi up to Manic level. The condition is relaxable, if the candidate is otherwise found suitable.
Job Responsibilities :
- To assist in Laboratory work and field research in animal reproduction.
- Any other duties that may be assigned.
