Two eligible fresher candidate required for Project Assistant (Level-II) at CFTRI

Central Food Technological Research Institute(CFTRI), Mysore (A constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial research, New Delhi) came into existence during 1950 with the great vision of its founders, and a network of inspiring as well as dedicated scientists who had a fascination to pursue in-depth research and development in the areas of food science and technology. 

Applications are invited fron eligible candidates for Two positions of Project Assistant (Level –II) on a temporary contractual basis in a research project entitled "Scale up of chitosan based coating formulation for preservation of selected fruits" (GAP-444), funded by the Department of Science and Technology, SERB & MoFPI, Government of India, New Delhi at Meat and Marine Sciences, CSIR-CFTRI, Mysore, Karnataka.

• Position : Project Assistant (Level-II)
• Desired Profile : First class M.Sc.in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Life Sciences. 

• Experience : One year of research experience in carbohydrate chemistry/Biochemistry with special reference to Polysaccharides
• Emoluments : Rs.12,000/- ( Rupees Twelve thousand only) consolidated. 

Terms & Conditions :

• Candidates should not have exceeded 28 years of age as on 31-01-2014 i.e., the last date of receipt of applications for the post.
• The last date of receipt of applications for the post is 31-01-2014.
• The engagement will be contractual and purely on temporary basis for a maximum period of TWO years and is co-terminus with the project, if the project terminates earlier.
• The engagement under externally funded project does not confer any right/claim whatsoever either explicitly or implicitly on the appointee for regular appointment in CSIR/CFTRI, against any post or otherwise under any legal conditions precedent.
• No TA/DA will be given to the candidates for attending the interview.
