The National Institute of Immunology (NII) is an autonomous institution supported by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. Applications are invited from dedicated and trained personnel for manning the following Central Instrumentation facilities using modern technology:
Flow cytometric analysis and sorting system
- Job Description : Maintenance, supervision and operation of Flow Cytometer machines used for detecting low level fluorescent labeling of particles, computerized data processing for wide variety of applications, analysis of data using appropriate software, installing and operating dedicated acquisition / analytical Softwares, help in planning and execution of experiments using flow Cytometry and training new users. Candidates should possess R & D experience in biomedical imaging, instrumentation operation and maintenance, experimental design and execution. Experience in flowcytometry would be preferred.
GC/MS -LC/MS System
- Job Description : Maintenance and operation of GC/MS and LC/MS machines, training and helping users in experimental design, data acquisition, processing and analyses. Preference will be given to candidates with R & D experience in instrument operation and software based analysis.
Ultra-High Throughput Sequencer
- Job Description : Devising and conducting experiments using the Ultra-High Throughput Sequencing platform, processing and analysing results and data, demonstrating and training other members of the institute to use the sequencing platform and providing sequencing services to other members.
Dual Wavelength X-Ray Generator
- Job Description : Overseeing the operation and maintenance of the X-ray diffraction facilities. Responsibilities involve maintaining two rotating-anode X-ray generators, detectors, liquid nitrogen cryosystems and related components. The candidate will also be responsible for aligning the X-ray optics and providing day-to-day maintenance. In addition, the candidate will be required to train users wishing to use the equipment, supervise on data collection as well as data processing. Preference will be given to those possessing experience in macromolecular crystallography.
- Qualifications & Experience : Ist Class M.Sc/M.Tech with 3 years relevant experience OR Ph.D. Preference will be given to candidates possessing experience in handling the equipments.
- Emoluments : Consolidated contractual emoluments would range from Rs. 53,000/- to Rs. 60,000/- p.m. depending on experience.
- Tenure of Engagement : Initially for one year which can be extended for further period of one year as per the requirements of the Institute
