National Institute of Malaria Research (NIMR) was established in 1977 as 'Malaria Research Centre', which was renamed as 'National Institute of Malaria Research' in November 2005. NIMR is one of the institutes of the Indian Council of Medical Research (an autonomous body under Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India). The primary task of the Institute is to find short term as well as long term solutions to the problems of malaria through basic, applied and operational field research.
The following positions are to be filled up in two projects on purely temporary and contractual basis, co-terminus with the duration of the projects.
- Project title : Dynamics of gametocytogenesis among Plasmodium falcipaprum isolates from areas of seasonal malaria transmission: correlation with antimalarial drug resistance”
- Position : SRF
- Desired Profile : Masters Degree in any branch of Life Sciences with a minimum of two years of research experience
- Fellowship : Rs.18,000/-p.m. + HRA
- Age : 35 years (relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per govt. of India rules)
- Project title :“Establishing immunological correlates of protection against malaria vaccine candidate using functional bio-assays and Proteomic deciphering of Host-Parasite Interactions”.
- Position :JRF (Two)
- Desired Profile : M.Sc. degree holders in Life Sciences who have qualified in the CSIR/UGC or ICMR/PGI National Entrance Test (NET) or CSIR/UGC NET and have a valid certificate
- Fellowship : Rs.16,000/-p.m. + HRA
- Age : Up to 28 years
- Project title : “Establishing immunological correlates of protection against malaria vaccine candidate using functional bio-assays and Proteomic deciphering of Host-Parasite Interactions”.
- Position : Research Associate (One)
- Desired Profile : M.Sc., Ph.D in Life Sciences (Zoology with Entomology spl) or molecular biology/Immunology with more than three years post doctoral research experience
- Fellowship : Rs.24,000/-p.m. + HRA
- Age : 40 years (For female 42 years)
